The Changbin Lunwei East No. 1 & 2 project is a landmark utility-scale offshore solar development. With an installed capacity of 181 MWp, the facility was officially commissioned and grid-connected in November 2020. This project not only showcases the immense scale and technical prowess of Taiwan's renewable energy sector but also stands as a pioneering case for green finance, successfully securing a major project financing package backed by a consortium of domestic and international banks.
The subsequent completion of Phase 3 in December 2022 further expanded the site, shattering world records for the largest offshore floating solar array and reinforcing Taiwan's position on the global renewable energy map.
Building on the success of Phases 1 & 2, Phase 3 was successfully integrated into the grid in late 2022. Situated even closer to the open sea, Phase 3 presented formidable engineering challenges, requiring our teams to navigate harsher maritime conditions and more complex environmental variables.
The successful completion of this expansion is a testament to Chenya Energy’s unrivaled technical expertise and execution capabilities. Beyond its engineering feats, the project represents a deep-seated commitment to energy transition, garnering high market confidence and setting a new standard for large-scale green infrastructure in Asia.
